Residential Tinting

Protection of You and Your Home

Window tint blocks 99% of damaging ultraviolet rays without reducing the amount of light let into your home. This protects your family and friends from skin and eye damage. It also reduces fading of your home furnishings and fabrics. Untreated windows allow UV rays into your home that fade and weather your carpets, artwork, and draperies. Window tint can lengthen the life span of all your home furnishings, keeping you happy and comfortable.

Energy Savings

Window tint can reduce the heat accumulated by your home by as much as 78%. This makes your home cooler and more comfortable. The decrease in heat can also drastically reduce the cost of utility bills. Window film on your windows has proven to lower a monthly electric bill by up to 40%. With gas prices as high as they are, we can all use a little extra cash. On top of this, Progress Energy and OUC are offering rebates as incentives to help you afford the cost of tinting your windows.
Glare can also be blocked from entering your home. Annoying glare can make things like watching TV, or talking to a family member, a huge effort. Without darkening your home, this glare can be prevented if you choose the right film.

Security and Safety

In up to 64% of burglaries, intruders gain access to the premises by smashing through exterior glass. Applying window tint to your windows makes it harder to shatter glass and gain entry. The adhesive in the window tint holds broken pieces of glass together. In this same way, window tint comes in handy during rough Florida hurricanes. Debris from a hurricane normally flies through windows with ease. Window tint can aid in keeping unwanted fragments out of your home while protecting your loved ones from flying glass broken shards. Proper attachment systems are needed when installing safety and security films to windows, and it is extremely important your installer know how to apply the attachments correctly. Should the attachment not be applied, or should the attachment be placed incorrectly, the film will not meet the same protection standards. With out proper mounting and attachment systems, the film will hold the window together, while breaking and falling into your home making your home vulnerable to other debris and dangerous flying objects.

Privacy

Window tint can protect your home from the scrutiny of curious onlookers. It can block the vision of those outside, while still allowing those inside the home to see outdoors. This can hide your most prized possessions from unwanted eyes and prevent burglaries simply because people do not know what you have in your home. Llumar has developed new films that allow you privacy and high heat rejection and still allow you vision at night!

Do NOT Sacrifice Your View!

With most films, heat rejection is obtained through highly metallization and reflectivity. This causes “negative reflectivity” at night. That means the reflective look you see from the outside of your home during the day, causes the same reflective look when trying to see out of your windows at night. Llumar has developed a Dual Reflective (DR) series, and a LS Ceramic Series, that carry high heat rejection properties, which appear (depending on the film) almost completely clear, to dark and reflective from the outside of your home. Choosing the correct film is extremely important, and these films would be the right choice if you had a view you would like to preserve. Lake views, nature preserves, river front, or beautiful landscapes will be visible at night when choosing Llumar’s DR or LS series

Products and Warranties

Most of the Llumar films come with lifetime warranties, specialty films and decorative films have shorter warranty periods compared to the metalized and ceramic films. Please ask for more information about the warranties available on the films.
